Transitional or Development Coaching

Focused on:

early and mid-career supervisors and managers either moving to lead a new team or facing challenges in their leading of a team. This coaching focuses on adjusting to the new role, identifying strengths and areas of improvement, and building leadership skills.

Ideal client:

There are two common clients that benefit from this coaching path. The first are those that are in a new role, have taken over a new team, or that have had a major shift in their team or organization. The second are those that are facing challenges in their leading of a team through either difficult relationships, significant dissatisfaction, or other issues.

Program Engagement

Initial meeting with organizational leadership

An initial meeting with organizational leadership to identify challenges and desired goals

Initial meeting with client

A two-hour intake meeting with the client to identify strengths, opportunities for improvement, and goals (both long term and short term)

Pre-assessments

Pre-assessments to assess relationships with direct reports and others, identify strengths, opportunities for growth, and more depending on needs of the engagement

Coaching Sessions

Two hours of contact a month via zoom or phone (this can be 2 one hour meetings, but may be shorter meetings as well)

Midpoint Assessments

Assessments at three months to identify perceived behaviors, strengths, opportunities for improvement.  This includes: Quantitative assessments like IDI & Interviews with team members and supervisor(s)

Assessment Review

A two-hour meeting to review results of the assessments and pivot goals as needed

Debrief

A two – three-hour debrief at the end (and another round of assessments if needed)
